Southwestern Scene

After talking with a longtime student last night, the topic of a "southwestern scene" was requested. It's been quite some time ( a few years ) since I've approached that sort of subject in class. So, I figured it was time to "resurrect" that idea. Here's what I came up with after doing a little "research" of Monument Valley. I've titled it, "ODE TO THE SOUTHWEST".

Great peice...I've never been to the south west...but have seen photos and paintings. All are so dramatic. Your's among them (outstanding clouds btw). In time...I may attempt one, who can resist the color?

Thanks, Mike. Though I've been to the Northwest many times ( OR, WA ), I've never been to the Southwest, either. ( but, it's on my "to do before I die" list. )
Like you though, I LOVE the intense colors.
As for my clouds, I'm not sure if you're aware of it, but I have some free video lessons (featuring trees, clouds and waterfalls) that you can view on my website. www.wilsonbickford.com
You can also access them at

Check it out. I think you'll find them informative.
